The Trump administration accomplished little with its “zero tolerance policy.” They may have successfully deluded their loyal supporters into thinking that they’re “cracking down” on immigration, but the truth is they have no idea what they are doing.
Although President Trump may have signed an executive order halting the separation of children from their families at the border, that does not mean that the ongoing crisis in Central America has ended. It should by no means put to rest our moral anguish at witnessing the poor and vulnerable be slighted in ways that are a living disgrace to our country’s morals.
Now is the time to set our sights on the “Northern Triangle” of Central America, the battered nations of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, home to the majority of migrants crossing the southern U.S. border. Until we attack the problem head-on any schemes focused simply on border protection and immigration enforcement will be utterly pointless.
As the result of grueling negotiations between the Obama administration and the Northern Triangle presidents, Congress offered up $750 million back in 2016 to fund a government effort to effect positive change in Central America. Hoping to fight against the Central American governments which had far too long been corrupt and neglectful to their desperate citizens.
Former Vice President Joe Biden weighed in on the issue with his usual precision:
“We don’t need to treat migrants from Central America with cruelty to strengthen US border security. We need personal, high-level engagement from the White House to press Northern Triangle leaders for progress and support to make their home countries prosperous and secure.”

I’ll work for you ! We need a leader, one with leadership and is for the country as Whole, not jest those who lavish money and false praise. 45th is a egocentric and delusional and Congress feeds into it.

I'm a Vietnam Vet and ashamed to tell anyone outside our country that I'm a U.S. citizen….please run so I can get back the pride I once had in this great nation. I'm sick of what Trump and his administration has done to our country. Hope we're not too late

It’s no surprise that members of the GOP who were born privileged in a nation full of opportunity, have no idea what it’s like to grow up seeking asylum in such a promised land.
