After former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a “moron,” Trump appeared to have gone off the rails. He began incoherently babbling to reporters about how smart he is, and how he could beat Tillerson in an IQ showdown. In one of his rants, he claimed he’s a “genius.”
In a throwback 2004 interview with CNN, Trump stated:
“I went to the Wharton School of Finance, I got very good marks, I was a good student, it’s the best business school in the world, as far as I’m concerned, but it’s rated the best business school in the United States. You know, I was a good student.”
However, there is a new conflicting report by an attorney named Frank DiPrima, who was an associate of the deceased William T. Kelly. Kelly was one of Trump’s former professors during his apparent illustrious years at Wharton.
DiPrima recounted, “Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had.’ I remember his emphasis and inflection — it went like this — ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.’ Dr. Kelley told me this after Trump had become a celebrity, but long before he was considered a political figure. Dr. Kelley often referred to Trump’s arrogance when he told of this — that Trump came to Wharton thinking he already knew everything.”
